  • Biscuit Cut – Creating mouthwatering breakfast biscuit sandwiches is easy with our biscuit cut ham. You can give it a quick sear in a fry pan while your biscuits are baking or even pop the ham in the microwave for just a few seconds to heat up.
  • Center Slices – For best results, place the slices is a medium-hot skillet. You won’t need shortening as long as you do not trim the fat off. It takes just a minute per side to heat the ham. Any longer than that, and you risk having a dry ham slice. Another option is to use low heat and gently heat them in a covered skillet for about 10 minutes. This method is used to create some juices to make redeye gravy with.
  • Ham Steaks – These can be prepared in much the same way as center slices. They are also quite tasty when you heat them up on a grill. Keep grill at low and leave them on no longer than 5 minutes each side, depending on the thickness. The thinner they are, the less time you’ll want to leave them on the grill.
  • Strips – Ham strips go well with just about anything! Add them to scalloped potatoes, scrambled eggs, bean soup, or casseroles, just to name a few ideas. You may want to cut into smaller pieces, depending on how you are using them. Country ham is already cooked, so you can add it at any time just to heat up with the dish.
  • Whole Ham – There are two ways you can prepare a whole ham. The first is to boil it. The best process for this is to soak it in cold water overnight, then drain it and add fresh water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer for 15-20 minutes per pound (15 for a half ham, 20 for a whole ham). To bake your whole ham, place in a deep open roaster and then add hot water nearly to the top of the roaster. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, then lower heat to 250° for 20 minutes per pound. You can add ingredients to the water with either method if you like, such as apple juice, cola, or molasses. Finish with a ham glaze. Yum!
